Job summary

HHS is seeking a hands-on maintenance engineer for a Central Texas Laundry facility. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing laundry equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Strong PLC skills and tool proficiency are essential. The position requires ability to work in a 24/7 operation, with flexibility for weekends or evenings as needed, and a commitment to safety, quality records, and efficient downtime

Qualifications

2+ years of maintenance engineering experience or equivalent
Experience with machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills
Proficient with power and hand tools
Ability to work in a dynamic, 24/7 facility environment

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial laundry equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power systems
Execute 3-phase 230-volt electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, welding, boiler repair
Troubleshoot PLCs, electronic interfaces, and control boards
Respond quickly to maintenance requests to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance, inspections, and safety records
Follow lockout/tagout, confined-space, PPE, OSHA and safety procedures
