Job summary

Unitex is seeking a skilled Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our Mt Vernon, NY team. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing industrial laundry equipment including dryers, washers and presses, with an early shift starting around 5:30 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician in an industrial setting.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and repair techniques.
• Shift starts as early as 5:30 AM; punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and fixes industrial dryers.
• Repairs carts, maintains slings, handles small projects and routine maintenance on washers, dryers, and presses.
• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections to identify problems and ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborates with team to plan upgrades, installations and modifications as needed.
