Job summary

Shape Corp. in Tanner, AL seeks an Industrial Program Engineer (IPE) to lead work packages and coordinate with the plant and extended teams to ensure smooth program execution. You will support Industrial Development activities essential for a successful product launch and participate in the Shape Launch Process.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or Business, 5+ years in production, and strong problem-solving and communication skills; travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Business Administration is required.
• At least 5 years experience in production, including methods and industrialization.
• Ability to work in a plant and within a program team.
• Strong communication with business unit teams, plant, and suppliers.
• Kaizen-driven, data-based decision making and shopfloor mindset.
• Familiarity with project financials (cost estimation, P&L, investments).
• Experience with equipment and tooling procurement.
• Long-term planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of team and customers.
• willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Execute work package tasks with the extended team.
• Provide operational support on Industrial Development activities for product launches.
• Contribute to Shape Launch Process, Shape Excellence System, and Engineering Change Processes.
• Act as a liaison between program teams and plant operations.
• Travel as needed.
• Support HSE and ergonomic convergence in the Plant.
