Job summary

Talnt is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and automated equipment in a manufacturing setting. The role combines in-house maintenance with field service, requiring travel around 40% of the time to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and repairs.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, NEC compliance, and safety practices, with a proven track record in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Current Journeyman Electrician license or recognized journeyman-level electrical certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial electrical maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, panels, wiring, and automation equipment.
• Ability to read/e interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of NEC, electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and safe electrical work practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and production machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve failures involving furnaces, conveyors, robotics, motors, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot circuits, motor controls, wiring, relays, contactors, VFDs, PLCs, and control systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals for installations and repairs.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and system upgrades.
• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and commission equipment; up to ~40% travel.
