Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Insulator to perform insulation installation across industrial facilities in the United States. You will read blueprints, select materials, and install insulation on surfaces such as pipes, tanks, and boilers to maintain temperatures and reduce noise.

Responsibilities include applying adhesives, cutting materials to size, securing insulation, and adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirements.
• Journeyman level experience preferred (3–5 years).

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and select required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or apply adhesive to insulation material.
• Determine amounts and select insulation material (sheet, tubular, roll).
• Measure and cut insulation to size using handsaw/knife/scissors.
• Fit, wrap or attach insulation to structures as per specifications.
• Seal insulation with covers, tape, sealant or staples.
• Other duties as assigned.
