Job summary

Carrier in Charlotte, NC, seeks an Industrial Insulator to join our onsite manufacturing team. You will cut, fit and install insulation on shells, heads and piping with adherence to leak test protocols.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in industrial insulation or related fabrication, with the ability to work in physically demanding positions and lift up to 50 pounds. Overtime may be required.

• 2+ years of industrial insulation or manufacturing assembly/warehouse experience.
• 2+ years of fabrication and fitting insulation in high-mix environments.
• Ability to work in awkward positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Review travelers, print, and insulation BOM; verify material availability.
• Cut, fit, and install insulation on shells, heads, and piping; apply adhesives/bands/jacketing.
• Complete check sheets for vacuum readings pre/post insulation for leak detection traceability.
• Adhere to EHS protocols, including PPE and respirator fit tests.
