Mentor Technical Group (MTG) is seeking an insulation installer to support the FDA-regulated life sciences sector. The role involves applying insulating materials to pipes and ductwork, measuring for accurate fit, and shaping materials to protect systems from weather and noise while maintaining temperature control.

The ideal candidate has a vocational diploma and 5+ years of hands-on insulation experience, with proficiency in using tape measures, saws, knives, and gloves.

Qualifications

• High School Vocational diploma with 5+ years of experience required or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Responsabilités

• Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors.
• Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required.
• Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed, and methods of installation, based on factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment use.
• Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws in order to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.
• Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, and vessels, to help control noise and maintain temperatures.
