Job summary

Linde Inc. in Wilmington, CA is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical systems in a continuous chemical operation.

You will calibrate, test, and commission controls while ensuring safety and reliability in daily plant support. You will interpret P&IDs, work with Allen Bradley ControlLogix, and support plants in Wilmington, Long Beach, and El Segundo.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AS degree or apprenticeship preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting instrumentation in a continuous chemical operation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve technical problems.
• Proficient with P&IDs interpretation and Allen Bradley ControlLogix.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain instrumentation and electrical equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot, refurbish instrumentation, electrical equipment, and analytical applications with minimal supervision.
• Calibrate, test, and functionally check instrumentation, analyzers, control systems, and control elements.
• Create and update instrumentation service reports using a CMMS.
• Assist in training and developing new employees and communicate with OEM vendors as needed.
• Diagnose control loop input/output and electrical system issues up to 600V; read P&IDs and single-line diagrams.
