Job summary
Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks an Instrumentation & Control Diagnostic Electrician to support an open-pit copper mining complex.
You will handle installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems, including drive systems, PLCs, and process controls at the Chino operation near Silver City. The role requires 4+ years of experience or an approved credential, with strong problem-solving and safety focus.
Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Electronics, Electrical and/or Instrumentation Program or equivalent.
- 4+ years in Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation repair & maintenance OR
- Associate degree + 2 years in Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation repair & maintenance
Responsibilities
- Remove, repair and install electrical components and systems; diagnose and troubleshoot to optimize processes.
- Perform safe routine and non-routine repairs and construction.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical/instrumentation equipment, substations, switchgear, motors, and process controls.
