Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electrical and electronic systems, controls, and equipment. This role reports to the I&E Supervisor and requires safe, efficient work with 480-Volt power and various instrumentation networks.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years of related apprenticeship or education, and preferably experience in explosive or chemical manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apprenticeship, vocational experience, or education preferred.
• Explosive or chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, or schematics for installation and repair of process instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, calibrations, and troubleshooting on equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics for installation and repair of process instrumentation and distributed control systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop; enter work orders; assist with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate preventive maintenance with the Maintenance Planner.
