Job summary

Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) on US Naval Station Crane seeks an Industrial Hygienist with a Bachelor's or higher degree in industrial hygiene or related fields. Candidates may meet alternative qualifications through a related degree with chemistry coursework or ABIH certification.

Qualifications

A. Degree: Bachelor's or graduate (or higher level) degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or related science. Degree completed by May 2018.
B. Related Degree: Bachelor's in engineering, physical science, or life science with chemistry coursework and related science hours; ABET requirement for engineering curricula.
C. Certification from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH).

Responsibilities

One year of specialized experience typical of GS-11: assisting with industrial hygiene surveys to identify hazards and prepare SOPs, technical papers, bulletins, or guides, and provide hazard mitigation recommendations.
