Job summary

Hillmann Consulting, LLC is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join our growing team in the North Jersey and NYC areas. You will support environmental health and safety projects, perform IAQ and asbestos-related inspections, and contribute to emergency response efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in science-related field.
• 1–4 years in asbestos, lead, IAQ, and mold/moisture inspections.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain certifications and licenses.
• Respond to client emergencies as needed.
• Conduct IH investigations including IAQ, asbestos surveys, and lead-based paint inspections.
• Develop remediation plans, report findings, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collect air samples during asbestos abatement and document chain of custody.
• Perform air and bulk sampling per EPA/OSHA/NIOSH methods.
• Perform limited asbestos surveys and exposure monitoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
