Job summary

US Military Treatment Facilities under DHA is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to provide industrial hygiene services at Edgewood Occupation Health Clinic, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role supports high-quality patient care and facility operations under Direct Hire Authority (DHA).

You will assess occupational hazards, develop control measures, and assist in contingency planning for incidents, using real-time and analytical sampling methods to evaluate exposures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene or related field accredited by a recognized body.
• Alternative degree with 12 semester hours in chemistry (including organic chemistry) and 18 additional hours in chemistry/related fields.
• Certification from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH).

Responsibilities

• Identify occupational health hazards, including those without established regulatory limits.
• Evaluate the cause of hazardous exposure and propose viable controls.
• Develop contingency plans to resolve industrial accidents.
• Execute quantitative sampling strategies using real-time sampling instruments and analytical methods.
