Job summary

The Vertex Companies LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist for its Building Science group in the Greater San Francisco Bay area and Southern California. You will perform IH duties, collect samples, and coordinate multi‑site projects with diligence.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of IH experience, strong writing and communication skills, and a willingness to travel for site inspections and client meetings. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High School or a Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field.
• Entry level up to 3 years work experience as Industrial Hygienist with experience managing projects.
• OSHA 10 or 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exposure assessments and other IH work or project assignments as appropriate.
• Collect samples from project sites and maintain chain of custody.
• Coordinate activities for multiple project functions to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor projects and oversee third‑party contractors.
• Prepare exposure reports, IAQ assessments, and safety analyses with accurate data.
