Job summary

The State of Oregon is seeking an Internal Training Specialist (Industrial Hygienist 3) to assess training needs and design programs that support Oregon OSHA’s staff development goals.

You will facilitate training sessions, advise on training strategies, and provide support for other divisions conducting training for employers and employees. This role may be located in Salem or field offices and may offer partial telework after proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and delivering staff training.
• Knowledge of Oregon OSHA or federal OSHA rules.
• Experience developing curricula for training programs.
• Subject matter expertise in topics such as heat, silica, lead, asbestos, BBP, ventilation, and respiratory protection.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs and design training and processes to support Oregon OSHA staff development goals.
• Facilitate training meetings and projects.
• Advise and develop training strategies at management requests.
• Provide support for training across divisions.
