Job summary

Exponent is seeking a Principal Industrial Hygienist (M.P.H. or Ph.D.) to lead complex exposure and risk assessments across diverse client projects in health sciences. This role requires strong leadership, business development, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams in delivering rigorous scientific solutions.

You will collaborate with clients to shape strategic IH work, mentor staff, and contribute to the growth of Exponent's Health Sciences Practice across multiple U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• CIH certification is required.
• Minimum 8 years of consulting experience in industrial hygiene.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex IH projects across client sectors.
• Develop and implement exposure and risk assessment strategies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to technical staff.
• Manage project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Build long-term client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Publish and present findings to stakeholders and at conferences.
• Contribute to firm thought leadership and client impact.
