Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative respirator fit testing.
• Audit welding fume hoods.
• Assist with safety-related or emergency response projects.
• Perform S&H-related training.
• Assist in safety inspections & audits.
• Update IH/Safety procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations.
• Exhibit a strong safety ethic.
• Support plant-wide initiatives.

In Soda Springs, Idaho, we produce elemental phosphorus, a key component to ensuring farmers are more productive — something that’s becoming increasingly important in our growing world; we currently have an opening for an Industrial Hygiene & Safety Co-Op or Intern for Spring, Summer, or Fall 2027 at this location.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform IH monitoring for various chemical and physical hazards such as noise, silica dust, phosphine, CO, SO2, H2S, and welding fumes;
• Perform quantitative respirator fit testing;
• Audit welding fume hoods;
• Assist with safety-related and/or emergency response projects, as needed;
• Perform S&H-related training;
• Assist in safety inspections & audits;
• Update IH/Safety procedures;
• Participate in incident investigations;
• Exhibit a strong safety ethic;
• Support plant-wide initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE
