Job summary

Wheeling Power Company is seeking a technician to perform intermediate-level chemical analyses, IH testing and related calculations to support power plant equipment efficiency. You’ll collect boiler water samples, operate water pretreatment processes, and assist with other technical services at the site.

The role requires an Associate degree in Chemistry/Biology/Environmental or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental science, or equivalent with related experience.
• Ability to pass Tech examination and complete required training to advance.
• Holder of state driver’s license and willingness to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Collect and test boiler waters.
• Perform polisher/demineralizer regenerations and maintenance.
• Unload bulk chemicals safely and feed Redox to the JBR.
• Conduct plant oil analysis and groundwater well sampling.
• Perform condenser inspections and assist in other duties.
