Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an HVAC Technician in Decatur, IL to perform installs, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of equipment including chillers, boilers, fans, and more. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and cooperative work within the district.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of industrial HVAC experience including chillers.
• Experience planning and performing preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair pumps and related equipment.
• Read blueprints, piping sketches, and wiring diagrams to guide work.
• Inspect, repair, maintain, and operate HVAC equipment and controls.
• Troubleshoot and modify HVAC systems while adhering to regulations.
• Order parts and manage vendor relationships as needed.
