Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform installs, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC equipment across the Decatur district. The role covers refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, heat pumps, and related controls, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include planning preventive maintenance, coordinating shutdowns, brazing and piping, reading blueprints and schematics, and ensuring energy-efficient operation while

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industrial HVAC experience, including work on chillers.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair of pumps, chill water systems, and heating water systems.
• Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding and fabrication.
• Read complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Inspect, monitor, repair, maintain and operate motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats and switches.
• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, glycol, heating, hot water, and steam distribution equipment to optimize performance and energy use.
• Troubleshoot and modify HVAC systems as needed.
• Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statutes; maintain records per EPA regulations.
