Job summary

Verto People Ltd in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Engineer / HVAC Engineer / Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver advanced industrial HVAC systems for offshore and onshore applications.

You will perform detailed HVAC calculations, develop 3D CAD models, and create fabrication drawings, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and commissioning teams. The role includes travel up to 10% and exposure to hazardous environments and mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience designing industrial HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design, heat loads, airflow, ductwork.
• Experience in industrial/offshore/haz environments.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, ABS, USCG, IMO, SMACNA, NEC, IEC, and ATEX.
• Proficient 3D CAD; Inventor/AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design complex industrial HVAC systems for offshore and onshore applications.
• Perform HVAC calculations: heat loads, airflow, ducting.
• Specify components: compressors, coils, fans, filtration, and related equipment.
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models for custom equipment and skids.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Review proposals and ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and fabrication personnel to meet scope, budget, and schedule.
