Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is hiring a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager for our Shelbyville, IL site. You will lead HSE programs across a 113+ acre campus with facilities for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution.

You’ll ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and state regulations, drive safety initiatives, and supervise training and incident response. You’ll report to the Plant Manager and Corporate EHS leadership, oversee audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, Occupational Safety, or similar discipline.
• Master’s Degree, preferred.
• Advanced safety or environmental certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and health programs to comply with federal, state and local standards.
• Maintain environmental programs including Title V permitting.
• Oversee workers' compensation compliance with Illinois law.
• Identify and complete required safety and environmental training for staff.
• Provide technical support for HSE projects, investigations, and audits.
• Inspect facilities for regulatory and insurance compliance.
• Maintain HSE communication and incident reporting.
• Lead safety engagement through JETS teams and initiatives.
• Investigate incidents to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
