Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Kentucky is seeking a General Laborer to support manufacturing operations by performing cleaning, loading, unloading and assisting area operators as needed.

The role requires complying with safety programs, the ability to work in multiple areas, operate forklift or other equipment, and maintain a clean, orderly workspace while following all procedures. Flexibility for shifts, overtime, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED.
• Must be able to wear all PPE as required.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position.
• Must have the ability and willingness to work any shifts, including nights, holidays and overtime.
• Must have the ability to bend, twist and stretch arms above head and walk or stand for long periods of time.
• Good communication Skills.
• Work well with a team and collaborate with employees from other departments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and written work instructions.
• Ability to progress through on the job training.
• Follow company procedures and directives

Responsibilities

• Follow all facility safety programs/polices.
• Rotate between various areas within facility.
• Operate industrial fork truck and/or other mobile equipment for loading/unloading and transporting materials.
• Secure crane loads with straps and chains for safe handling.
• Assist department operators with auxiliary tasks.
• Gather supplies/tools as needed and deliver to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete all applicable documentation related to job assignment.
• Communicate quality and safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Sweep and clean floors and dispose of trash; maintain workspace.
• Contain hazardous waste by spreading absorbent on spills and cleaning areas.
• Shovel dirt or other material as directed.
• Move office furniture as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
