Job summary

brownandrootexternal is seeking an experienced forklift mechanic to perform, install, maintain and repair industrial lift trucks, including hydraulic, electric and internal combustion systems.

The role covers preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, ordering parts, and documenting service repairs, with a focus on mechanical diagnostics, safety, and adherence to manufacturer specifications. Candidates should have 3+ years of forklift repair experience and a valid drivers license for field work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years repairing forklifts in industrial maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems and internal combustion engines.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid drivers license required for field service roles.
• Education: High school diploma or GED or technical school training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mast/attachment components, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose hydraulic, engine, and electrical issues on LP, gas, and diesel trucks.
• Document service repairs, maintain logs, and ensure safety per manufacturer specifications.
