Alpek Polyester USA, LLC is seeking a Facilities Specialist for the Columbia Site Maintenance Team in Gaston, SC. The role requires a safety mindset, owning duties, and accountability to keep manufacturing facilities running smoothly.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma, a valid driver's license, and 3+ years of industrial facilities experience. SAP proficiency is a plus. Flexibility for overtime and weekend work is expected as production demands.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 3+ years as a facilities specialist in an industrial manufacturing facility.
• Civil/Concrete experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and complete work orders promptly.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and operations functions.
• Able to read blueprints, sketches, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance and repairs (roofing, plumbing, painting, carpentry).
• Maintain overall appearance and upkeep of the site.
• Collaborate with multi-craft teams and assist scaffolding and insulation teams.
• Execute civil and contract work as directed by engineering.
• Operate shop machines (drill presses, saws).
• Use SAP to manage work orders, parts and materials.
• Support planning and scheduling during routine operations and shutdowns.
• Serve on the plant Emergency Response Team.
• All other duties as assigned.
