Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial facility, mechanical or maintenance setting favored.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools; ability to read technical manuals/schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and safety regulations.
  • Support scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, lighting, and plumbing issues under supervision.
  • Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repair tasks.
  • Document work performed using CMMS and maintain organized work areas.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams; assist with equipment installation and repair (HVAC, motors, lighting).
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Facilities Technician I to join our growing team. As a key member of our facility management workforce, you will play an essential role in ensuring that all industrial machinery and facility infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently. In this hands‑on position, you will focus on routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex systems within our industrial environment. You will work closely with other technicians and maintenance staff to maintain optimal performance levels and to implement preventive maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem‑solving. You should be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and be able to respond quickly to unexpected challenges. Safety is paramount in our operations, so you must adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Your contributions will directly impact our productivity and operational efficiency, making you a vital part of our team.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in an industrial facility, mechanical, or maintenance setting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safetyprocedures.
  • Experience driving forklifts and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP) preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Support scheduled preventive maintenance inspections, and repairs on fire safety systems (Emergency Exits / Lighting, Safety Showers, Flammable gas detectors, etc.)
  • Help troubleshoot issues with facility equipment and systems, including electrical, mechanical, lighting, and plumbing under supervision of maintenance technician or supervisor
  • Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repair tasks.
  • Ensure proper documentation of work performed using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance and production team members.
  • Assist maintenance technicians and contractors with installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as HVAC systems, motors, and lighting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during all maintenance activities.
