Job summary

Lignetics in Oregon is seeking an Industrial Facilities Cleaner to perform light and heavy janitorial duties in a manufacturing environment. The role includes reporting hazards to the Plant Manager and backing up operator roles when needed.

The position emphasizes English safety communication, interpretive reading of manuals, and maintaining a safe, clean facility while handling up to 50 lbs and standing long hours.

Qualifications

• Skid Steer experience is needed.
• 1-2 years production line experience in an industrial setting preferred.
• Good eye, hand and foot coordination.
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods and multi-task.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for at least 7 hours daily.
• English reading for safety commands, alarms and hazard alerts in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in reading and executing LOTO protocols and operation manuals in English.
• Verbal reporting of malfunctions or unsafe conditions in English.
• Must understand real-time safety signage and communicate clearly around heavy equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to do simple math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Performs both light and heavy janitorial duties in a manufacturing environment
• Assess facility conditions at regular intervals and report hazards and needed repairs to the Plant Manager
• Fill in as back up for Mill Operator, Packaging Operator and/or Baler Operator when needed
• Assist with PM accountabilities as needed

Industrial Facilities Cleaner Job Duties

• Performs both light and heavy janitorial duties in a manufacturing environment
• Accountable for assessing facility conditions at regular intervals and reporting hazards identified, along with repair needs and other opportunities for facility improvements to the Plant Manager
• Fill in as back up for designated Mill Operator, Packaging Operator and/or Baler Operator when needed
• Assist with PM accountabilities as needed
• Perform other duties as required

Industrial Facilities Cleaner Requirements

• Skid Steer experience is needed
• One to two years production line experience in an industrial setting preferred
• Will need good eye, hand and foot coordination
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task
• Will be lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a minimum of 7 hours per day
• Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals.
• Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members.
• This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety.
