Job summary

Eastern Lift Truck Co. in the MD/DC/NOVA area is seeking a Compactor/Baler Technician Apprentice. You will repair, diagnose and maintain vertical balers, trash compactors, and related equipment, ensuring reliability and uptime for customers.

The role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills, with reading schematics and welding/fabricating experience plus own tools. Road mechanic experience is a plus and you must be ready to work with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience diagnosing and repairing compactors, balers, and/or other industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Welding / fabricating experience.
• Experience as a road mechanic a plus.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair, diagnose, inspect, and maintain all makes and models of Vertical Balers, Trash Compactors, Self-Contained Trash Compactors, Electric Jacks, Dock Levelers, Edge of Docks, Dock Seals, and Handicap Carts / Scooters
• Provide courteous and professional service
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Company and OSHA Standards
