Job summary

Industrial Metal Supply Co. in California is seeking a part-time maintenance technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a range of saws, shearing equipment, and related processing machinery.

The role requires timely coordination with branch leaders and a focus on safety and quality. You will maintain cranes and generators, manage spare parts inventory, and document expenditures.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on processing equipment.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage maintenance records and communicate with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and executes preventative maintenance on processing equipment.
• Maintains Class "C" motor vehicles.
• Performs weekly generator tests and semi-annual crane inspections.
• Maintains spare parts inventory and tracks maintenance expenditures.
• Coordinates with vendors to minimize downtime and ensure timely repairs.
• Drives on company business and performs other duties as assigned.
