Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Journeyman with strong field experience to install, align, and commission machinery according to layouts and drawings. This role involves reading blueprints, dismantling and assembling equipment, and performing precision alignments with various tools.

You will ensure safe operation and compliance with project rules on site in North Carolina. The successful candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience, be able to read schematics, and operate cranes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, blueprints and schematics.
• Willingness to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Under supervision, follow instructions and established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans and manuals to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.
• Assemble and install equipment such as conveyors and tram rails.
• Construct foundations for machines.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, and measuring tools.
• Operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn parts.
• Load, transport and unload materials.
• Perform lubrication, maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Follow safety and project rules.
