Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Columbia, SC seeks a Senior Continuous Improvement Manager to lead CI engineering and quality professionals across multiple operations. Drive lean initiatives using data analytics and Ryder lean tools to raise safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

The role interfaces with employees at all levels and reports to the CI Director or Sr. CI Manager, aligned with a Director of Operations. Strong mentoring and cross-functional collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Nine (9) years or more in the Distribution, Warehousing and/or Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management; Master's preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma certification; other certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a CI/quality team, hirePromoteCoach and develop staff; manage multiple complex CI projects.
• Develop strategy, scorecards, KPIs; drive improvements across sites with data-driven methods.
• Provide training and mentoring on Lean, data analysis, PDCA and CI tools.
• Lead Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events and sustainment activities.
