Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a New College Grad - Industrial Engineer to design and optimize manufacturing scheduling, dispatching, automation, and analytics solutions. You will work with IE, Manufacturing, Planning, IT and Global teams to implement data-driven improvements that impact fab performance.

The role combines IE, software development, data analytics, and emerging AI/ML technologies to reduce cycle time, improve throughput and equipment utilization in semiconductor operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language.
• Ability to work with data and build technical solutions.
• Curiosity, adaptability and interest in automation and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain manufacturing scheduling and automation systems.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities and improve throughput and cycle time.
• Develop dashboards, ETL pipelines, and performance metrics (SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
• Apply IE principles and simulation to optimize fab performance.
• Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for critical systems.
• Serve as SME for scheduling and queue-time management.
• Lead cross-functional projects with IE, Planning, IT and operations.
