Job summary

OnTrac is actively seeking an Industrial Engineer Consultant to design, evaluate, and optimize high-volume logistics, shipping, warehousing, and distribution systems. The role serves as a technical authority, driving asset reliability, throughput, safety, and cost performance while supporting capital planning and equipment lifecycle decisions.

The position offers remote work where permitted, with a base pay range of $125,600–$157,000 and potential to reach $188,400 over tenure, plus incentives

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial engineering, ideally within logistics, shipping, or manufacturing environments.
• Advanced skills in industrial engineering systems design, analytics, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of the interdependencies between mechanical systems, operations, safety, and business performance.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software and simulation tools.

Location: Remote - This position may be performed remotely in states where the company is authorized to employ individuals.

Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $125,600 - $157,000, with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $125,600 - $188,400. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, or other incentive compensation in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan of up to a 15% Bonus Target.

Employment Logistics:

The Industrial Engineer Consultant designs, evaluates, and optimizes systems and layouts that support high-volume logistics, shipping, warehousing, and distribution operations. This role serves as a technical authority, resolving complex engineering challenges and leading initiatives that improve asset reliability, throughput, safety, operational efficiency, and cost performance across the organization. The Consultant also supports capital planning, equipment lifecycle decisions, and the adoption of material-handling technologies.
