CTS Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking Expert Industrial Engineers for the Executive Fleet program in San Antonio, TX. The role is 100% onsite and requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Work is on a 4x10 schedule (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat) on the first shift, with an emphasis on operating plans, recovery plans, capacity analyses, and process improvements. Candidates will develop models and databases, perform data analyses, and present metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in Industrial Engineering or related field from ABET accredited university.
• 6+ years of experience in Project Planning, Scheduling, and Project Management.
• Experience as Industrial/Production Engineer in a factory environment; familiarity with Lean concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develops operating and recovery plans and analyzes data to provide metrics for leadership.
• Creates models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data, and communicate results to management and customers.
• Implements and improves processes to boost schedule performance, cost, and quality using Lean and IE concepts.
• Leads projects, defines scope, cost, and timing, and performs risk analysis with PM tools.

Shift: Work 4x10 schedule (Sun-Wed) or (Wed-Sat) on 1st shift

Company is seeking Expert Industrial Engineers to support the Executive Fleet program. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high pressure, fast paced environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply Industrial Engineering concepts to develop operating plans and recovery plans, conduct capacity and constraint-based analysis, develop and refine precedence networks, and conduct overall process effectiveness studies. You will also have opportunities to develop, implement, and improve processes focused on lowering costs and improving schedule performance and quality. Candidates must be able to operate within a multi-functional team, coordinating with various departments.

This position will be 100% onsite at the San Antonio, TX location. Candidate must be a US citizen.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develops Operating plans and Recovery plans as needed.
• Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, trend and production impacts), and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers (e.g., management, senior leadership, other departments, suppliers).
• Develops, implements, and improves processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts.
• Utilizes experience and expertise to determine technical objective of assignments: defines, and controls the scope, cost, and timing of projects. Performs risk analysis using project management tools (e.g., work break-down structure, precedence network, and resource allocation…).
• Leads various projects as needed.
• Uses engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulations, statistics) to support the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment…) in the creation and validation of operating plan.
• Establishes processes/standards to analyses and designs value streams, including capability, capacity (e.g., make/buy, supplier selection, risk analysis, supplier performance), throughput, work flow and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, transportation, factory layout).
• Candidate must be able to interact with other employees to gather data for process improvements. This may include observing, documenting processes, and collecting data in manufacturing areas or on aircraft during various production phases.
• Schedules work plans, conducts data analysis (historical, trends and production impacts), staffing and process improvements.

Physical Requirements

• Able to walk, stand, and enter aircraft via steps or ladders. Able to lift up to 35lbs

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university.
• 6+ years of experience with Project Planning, Scheduling, Project Management.
• 6+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer or Production Engineer in a factory environment. Familiarity with Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Planning, engineering drawings and specifications, and lean concepts (certifications preferred).
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, SAS, VBA, SQL, Minitab

Preferred Qualifications

• Aircraft / Aerospace industry experience.
• Experience with 3D Computer aided design tools such as IVT.
• Experience with Company standard scheduling tools such as Aurora.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
• 6+ years of experience conducting/leading Time studies and reporting out to leadership.
• Cost Account Management experience with applied Earned Value Management principles.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university.
