Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, operations research, time studies, and workflow optimization.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and industrial engineering methods.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform make-vs-buy studies to guide sourcing decisions.
  • Calculate ROI for improvements and equipment purchases.
  • Lead root cause analyses to identify drivers of variance and implement corrective actions.
  • Create detailed process maps to document workflows and identify inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to implement improvements.

Job Overview:

The Lee Company is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to improve manufacturing efficiency, optimize production flow, and support data-driven decision-making across operations. This role will focus on routing accuracy, labor standards, capacity analysis, raw material optimization, and strategic vendor and sourcing evaluations.

Responsibilities:
  • Streamline and optimize manufacturing routings to improve process flow and reduce waste.
  • Conduct detailed time studies to determine accurate operation labor standards.
  • Perform capacity studies to identify constraints, forecast resource needs, and support long-term planning.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and develop actionable solutions to improve throughput.
  • Determine product costs by analyzing labor, material usage, overhead, and process efficiency.
  • Review and streamline raw material usage to reduce cost and improve availability.
  • Support the evaluation and development of new vendors to improve supply chain resilience.
  • Perform make-vs-buy studies to guide strategic sourcing and manufacturing decisions.
