Job summary

GlobalFoundries Malta, NY is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design systems that boost productivity in semiconductor manufacturing. You will develop layouts, workflows and capacity tools while ensuring safety compliance and process integrity.

You will analyze throughput, optimize equipment output, and establish metrics to drive efficiency. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in related semiconductor processes are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in Semiconductor Process.
• Experience with SWD, DIFF, IMP processes and ion implantation.
• Experience with JMP Data Analytics and Power BI for data visualization and modeling.
• Experience in Throughput Optimization, batch factor analysis, and productivity improvements.
• Familiar with Cycle Time Analysis to optimize flow.
• Ability to predict/process behavior over long-term horizons.
• Experience with Obsolescence and Spec Maintenance.

Develop, design, plan, and implement equipment and machine layouts, workflow production and capacity tools and models and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities. Document and ensure compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines. Develop Throughput Optimization for overall output of equipment. Development of Complex analytic based calculators to identify ideal long term modeling indices. Ability to identify and address incorrect or no longer valid equipment indices to ensure model validity. Evaluate worker productivity and flow and recommends improvements to increase manpower and operating performance, reduce waste and delays and promote cost control/reductions. Being able to identify cost savings opportunities through capital analysis of equipment. Ability to maintain Spec validity and compliance. Develop and maintain metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity output and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.
