Position

As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for forecasting and analyzing plant capacities and proving recommendations for along with implementing solutions to identified issues.

What you will do:
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services.
  • Forecast and analyze plant capacities.
  • Create and implement industrialization plans for new products with maximum efficiency.
  • Prepare, plan, and execute capital expenditure projects.
  • Support quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement projects.
What you will need to be successful:
  • Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, and production equipment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Root Cause & Corrective Action techniques
  • Ability to conduct capacity and staffing analysis
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication skills; able to prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Read and comprehend drawings and specifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering preferred
  • Lean Certification preferred.
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Five to Seven years of previous experience preferred.
Working Conditions

While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment
  • Exposure to contaminants
  • Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled
  • Shared workspaces with other employees
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime)
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.

  • Ear Plugs - Earmuffs
  • Full Face Shield
  • Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)
  • Protective Apron
  • Respirator
  • Safety Glasses - Safety Goggles
