Job description

The Industrial Engineer we're after in Modesto thinks in Kotlin, dreams in Problem Solving, and argues about naming conventions for sport. Few technology roles let you own the whole thing end to end; this mid-level one in Modesto does, and it pays $88,000 - $129,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve CI/CD infrastructure across CA engineering teams
• Backfill Kotlin test coverage on the riskiest corners of NexTech Systems's codebase
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents across Go-based applications
• Lead Problem Solving design reviews that catch the costly mistakes before Modesto, CA builds them
• Design, build, and maintain reliable backend services using Jenkins and Microsoft Azure
• Sit with technology users in Modesto to learn what the Public Speaking tool really needs
• Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines for faster release cycles
• Drive the Jenkins incident postmortem that stops the Modesto outage from recurring

What You'll Bring

• A point of view on NexTech Systems's space, sharpened by your own reading
• Resilience measured across 3 years of technology cycles
• Hands‑on technology experience that holds up to follow‑up questions
• Experience at the mid‑level inside a temporary role
• Customer‑focused outlook with strong interpersonal skills
• A team player who lifts up colleagues and shares credit

At NexTech Systems, the fast‑moving Modesto crew believes technology should feel boring and reliable, never thrilling and fragile. We'd rather coach a generously‑mentoring learner than babysit a brilliant jerk, every single time.

Combine $88,000 - $129,000 with growth, generous benefits, and a mentor, and you have the reason people stay at NexTech Systems for years.

Our talent team is live and responsive, screening new resumes as they land.
