Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. in Braselton, GA seeks an Industrial Engineer to optimize labor standards and incentive programs within a retail distribution center.

You will analyze processes, develop programs, and collaborate with teams to improve efficiency while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and at least 2 years of related experience; Manhattan WM/LM experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a retail distribution center.
• Experience with the development and maintenance of engineered labor standards and performance incentive programs.
• Experience with Warehouse Management and Labor Management systems (Manhattan WM/LM preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical capabilities.

• Prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes and lead peers as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

• Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests
• Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes and effectively accomplish assigned duties through work of subordinates and/or peers.
• Research, analyze, develop and manage programs, including business plans and budgets.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Labor Management and Incentive Programs, including engineered labor standards and Labor Management systems.
• Knowledge of retail Distribution Center operations. Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports.

Work Environment:

While some job duties are performed while seated indoors, some time is spent in a warehouse environment where exposure to heat, cold, dirt, dust, fumes, and/or noise should not be overlooked. A risk of injury may result from following improper safety procedures.

Education (Required):

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field from a four-year college or university

Work Experience (Required):

Minimum 2 years professional experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a retail distribution center environment. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be substituted. Experience with the development and maintenance of engineered labor standards and performance incentive programs

• Experience with Warehouse Management and Labor Management systems (Manhattan Systems WM and LM for open systems preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical capabilities are required.
