Job summary

Intellectt INC is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize assembly lines in Appleton, WI. You will perform time studies, balance lines, and drive Lean improvements across processes, with both current and future state VSM development.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering with 5-7 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive/off-highway sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of hands-on manufacturing/shop floor experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, VSM, Kaizen and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Study Assembly Lines/Processes and identify areas for improvement per Lean Principles.
• Perform Time Study and Line Balancing for all processes (stations & operators).
• Develop Current State Line Balancing and Muri analysis; identify bottlenecks and wastes.
• Develop Value Stream Mapping (Current/Future State) and baseline performance.
• Lead improvement initiatives with action plans (Level 1-3).
• Create/write Standard Work Instructions and Video work instructions.
• Analyze root causes of quality issues and support corrective actions & Kaizen.
• Support fixture design as per requirements.

• Study Assembly Lines/ Processes and identify areas for improvement as per Lean Principles
• Perform Time Study and Line Balancing - Elemental breakdown, Video Time study- All Processes (Stations & Operator), VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, Develop Current State Line Balancing, Muri Analysis
• Develop Value Stream Mapping - Current State VSM - Identify bottlenecks, wastes and inefficiencies, Capacity analysis and Current baselining, Future State VSM, Current state vs Future state
• Identify Process and productivity improvement opportunities for entire process with Level 1,2,3 improvement suggestions report and roadmap
• Develop/ re-write Standard work instructions, Video work instructions
• Analysis of Root Cause for the quality failures, defects, downtimes etc., and support in corrective action & Kaizen / improvement identification with detailed implementation plan
• Support in Fixture design as per requirements
