Job summary

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc. in Pennsylvania seeks an Industrial Engine Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild and maintain diesel engines, generators, compressors and related equipment in a fast-paced rental fleet environment.

You will use a laptop for diagnostics, produce accurate service reports, and may work overtime. A background in diesel engines and power generation is required, with ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• Industrial environment exposure with varied conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel engines, compressors, pumps and heaters.
• Work on generators in various conditions and environments.
• Utilize a laptop for information and diagnostics with proficiency in SIS and ET.
• Accurately complete service reports and provide details to complete work orders.
• Work overtime as required and maintain tool requirements.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate must have relevant working experience and be able to operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain all types of industrial engine/rental equipment in a fast paced environment and must be able to multi-task. The primary focus of this position will be the maintenance of the rental fleet. The successful candidate must also have good human relations skills and abilities and the personality to successfully communicate and problem solve with customers. Customer satisfaction is of primary consideration.

Primary Responsibilities:

The essential functions of this position include the following: Independently and successfully diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel engines, compressors, pumps and heaters; perform work on generators in various working conditions; utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes with a demonstrated proficiency in S.I.S. and E.T.; accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders; work overtime as required; and maintain tool requirements.

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

As a Shop Mechanic you are required to work in an industrial environment which includes exposure to significant environmental conditions. Physical requirements include:

• Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, listening, and speaking
• Must have good motor coordination skills
• Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet

• Injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Requirements: Previous experience with diesel engines, power generation and air compressor repairs.
