We Power America is seeking Industrial Electricians in Wyoming, including Cheyenne, to install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems in industrial facilities. You'll work on motor control and control systems, MCCs, VFDs, and PLC-based controls, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience with motor control centers and variable frequency drives.
• Familiarity with PLC-based control systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motor controls, control panels, circuits and equipment.
• Work with MCCs, VFDs, and PLC-based control systems to ensure proper operation of equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using advanced tools and techniques.
• Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety regulations and industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings for installations and upgrades.
• Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems and control systems to improve performance or meet new requirements.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures and hazard identification.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams and other contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.
• Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs.

Job Responsibilities for Industrial Electricians (Motor Control & Control Systems):

Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motor controls, control panels, circuits, and electrical equipment.

Motor Control & Control Systems: Work with motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and PLC-based control systems to ensure the proper operation of equipment and machinery.

Safety Protocols: Follow strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and hazard identification, to ensure the safety of the work environment at all times.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and other contractors to complete projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems and control systems to reduce downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

Emergency Response: Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs, ensuring a fast response and resolution of critical issues, including motor and control system failures.
