Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician for our Kansas City, MO plant. The role installs, tests, and maintains electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will diagnose issues, ensure safety and code compliance, and mentor apprentices while following blueprints and local codes. We value safety, ownership, and teamwork, with benefits including ESOP shares, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) match, and competitive paid

Qualifications

• High School diploma and four years of industrial electrician experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to perform duties safely.
• State Licensed Electrician / Journeyman Card (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures per codes.
• Diagnose malfunctions, locate causes, and correct problems using test equipment.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers and transformers; inspect for hazards and code compliance.
• Direct and train apprentices; prepare sketches or follow blueprints for wiring layouts.
• Use power tools and testing devices (oscilloscopes, ammeters, test lamps) to repair systems.
• Perform emergency support with floodlights and generators as needed.
