Job summary
Schneider Electric is seeking an Electrical Technician to support our Cedar Rapids production team by maintaining facilities, labs, and equipment while performing preventative maintenance. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing PLCs, drives, motors, instrumentation, and automation systems, along with documenting work in SAP.
You will work across facility, production, IT, and lab environments, applying safety standards, reviewing blueprints/NEC, and leveraging SAP for
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years post-secondary electrical/electronic training required.
- Three years industrial electrical/electronic experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Play an active role in our safety culture.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, drives, motors, instrumentation, control wiring, and electronics.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical components in presses, furnaces, dust collectors, conveyors, robots, and sorting machines.
- Provide electrical support for facility, production, IT, and Lab.
- Perform preventative maintenance and document in SAP.
- Diagnose and modify automated control systems hardware & software.
