Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking an Electrician to join our team. The role entails maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and developing electrical process control instrumentation to optimize production efficiency under supervision.

Travel to quarry locations is required; hours are 6:00 am–4:00 pm with overtime as needed. The position involves coordinating in-house electrical repairs, troubleshooting motor controls, and collaborating with engineering and vendors on capital projects, while

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in electrical technology or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Certified/licensed Electrician (preferred).
• One year experience in aggregate/mining or similar industry (preferred).
• Experience with PLCs and Industrial Troubleshooting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades, including plant controls for mining operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor controls and drives.
• Research potential upgrades in automation to improve safety, efficiencies, plant capacities, consistency, availability and reporting.
• Work with the engineering group and contracted vendors to meet deadlines and complete capital improvement projects.
• Support safety policies and comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, appliances, fixtures and machinery problems.
• Detect, diagnose and repair failing components to improve/maintain equipment reliability.
• Train co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
