Job summary

Jobot seeks an Industrial Electrician/Controls Engineer to support and optimize plant electrical and automation systems in a high-volume industrial setting. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and improve electrical, PLC, and control systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician for a minimum of 5 years.
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools and read drawings/blueprints.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Good physical condition and ability to work long shifts/overnight.
• Diploma or apprenticeship as electrician.
• Valid license to practice; journeyman preferred.
• Proficient in PLCs, AC/DC motor control, diagrams, schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance on PLCs and AC/DC motor control.
• Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code and local regulations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections.
• Provide professional assessments and advice for customers.
• Review maintenance work orders and ensure high-quality work.
