Job summary

Malarkey Roofing Products is seeking an Industrial Electrician - Night to join our Franklin, Indiana manufacturing team. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems in an industrial setting, including Allen-Bradley PLCs, CTI, Simotion, Direct Logic, VFDs, and servo drives.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, installing and calibrating sensors, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with NEC and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five years of industrial electrician experience.
• Experience reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of NEC and safety standards.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Manufacturing Plant Electrician performs quick analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical and electronic components associated with an industrial environment. Programming and operational use of Allen Bradley, CTI, Simotion, Direct Logic PLCs, AC/DC variable speed drives, and servo drives.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Diagnoses and isolates production equipment malfunctions using schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and associated test equipment.
• Works on combustion furnaces, which include troubleshooting differential pressure transmitters, thermocouples, RTDs, safety interlocks, and burners.
• Constructs new and modifies existing installations as per the NEC.
• Installs, calibrates, and repairs various instruments, including pressure, flow, level, temperature, and position transducers.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs when production equipment is down.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We’re Looking For

Education: High school diploma or general education degree

Required Work Experience: Five years of industrial work experience

Additional Requirements

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using electrical test instruments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to gather and record necessary information, follow through with assigned tasks, and identify and correct problems within a timely manner.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under high-pressure situations.
• Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast-paced, highly productive work environment.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
