Job summary

The J.R. Simplot Company is seeking a maintenance technician to manage plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, document, and upgrade systems with guidance from the maintenance team.

You will ensure optimum operation of instrumentation and control software, implement new programs, and collaborate with team members to minimize downtime and improve efficiency in a dynamic food processing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years instrumentation/electronic/electrical experience.
• Graduation from a technical trade and/or apprenticeship, certificate or associate degree in a related field.
• Experience programming and/or PLC operations preferred.
• Must have completed Job Skill Evaluation and Structured Job Training within recommended timeframe.
• Able to perform basic calculations for adjustments and calibrations.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, document, and repair instrumentation and control systems.
• Configure production equipment to desired controls to meet efficiency goals.
• Work inside and outside the facility; overtime and extreme environments may be required.
