Job summary

You will work on projects across the southeast, ensuring safe, reliable electrical installations. The role requires journeyman-level experience with conduit, cable pulling, terminations and motor controls, plus the ability to test and troubleshoot systems.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level industrial electrical experience including conduit work, cable pulling, terminations and troubleshooting from drawings.
• Experience with motors, motor controls, control panels, and instrumentation wiring.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment safely and accurately.
• Experience in power generation, hydroelectric facilities, industrial plants or governor/HPU systems preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical drawings and diagrams; identify field conflicts and communicate them promptly.
• Install conduit, cable tray, or supports; pull, label, terminate and dress power and control wiring.
• Connect governor hydraulic power unit components, motors, starters and panels within scope.
• Perform continuity, insulation resistance and point-to-point checks; support loop checks, testing, startup and punch-list completion.
• Document field changes and test results; provide daily progress updates to the site lead.
• Follow site safety rules, lockout/tagout and energized-work controls; coordinate isolations with site personnel.
• Work with other trades, the owner and vendors to complete outages safely and on schedule.
• Plan installations to minimize waste and ensure code compliance; install wiring before walls/ceiling/floor.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread and assemble conduit; pull wiring and terminate connections.
• Test circuit continuity and safety using meters and oscilloscopes; observe equipment operation for hazards.
