A leading fiber-based product supplier in Illinois is seeking a skilled technician for a hands-on role involving troubleshooting and repairing programmable controllers, A/C and D/C drives, and various mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, a positive attitude, and be able to pass an advanced knowledge test. Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must be able to pass an advanced industrial skills and instrumentation/electrician knowledge test prior to interview process.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and A/C and D/C drives.
• Make necessary repairs to drive and their control system use.
• Maximize machinery utilization for optimal performance.
• Read electrical block diagrams and schematics.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Maintain teamwork with other associates.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs and installations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
